UNDERSTORY NEEDS YOU!
We have several projects set to be launched:
- Not a Kernel to Eat and the Three Sisters Puppet Show is growing. We are inviting artists, actors, organizers, puppeteers, painters, graphic designers, writers, musicians, tech people, and other creative types to join us as we tell the story of the past and future of edible forest gardening in the Americas.
- Understory Underwear: A radical clothing line that affirms the values of our resurgent culture of ecological integration and personal responsibility: Long live reused goods, except underwear! Seeking collaborants with experience in Fashion/Clothing Design, Textile Arts, and the clothing business, for the upcoming release of New Underpants 1.0 and the understory line of repurposed, gently used shirts and pants.
- Spanish for Sustainable Living: Ayúdanos a brindar un servicio de integración entre toda cultura tradicional y progresista, anglo, hispano, indígena, africana, y mucho más. La clave es el idioma. Help develop and build the curriculum for Spanish for Sustainable Living. Link sustainable culture with the force of the traditions of the Americas. Our speech is the catalyst. Our language is the guide. After two seasons of Spanish for Sustainable Living, we seek to take it up a notch.
- Events: Gain valuable experience; work with fascinating people. Take the next step. Bring community together.
- Other Volunteer Projects: We have many exciting projects, and all involve pleasant and less pleasant tasks that are perfect for volunteers. We design our projects so that learning is big part of everything we do. We would love for you to get involved.

- Translation & Linguistics: An effort to put the field glossary online has been started by several of our members.
