Work and Learn event open to Members of Permaculture Research Institute only (to become a member click here). This event is free.

The day will begin with an intro to each other and the site. There
will be free and low-cost surplus plants available. According to
interest level, may be several concurrent learning tracks, including 1)
hose-leveling, 2) mini-berm/swale design and construction for guild
plantings, 3) Woods management – open canopy, 3) Woods – planting
understoryand groundcover, 5) Masonry – retaining wall construction, 6)
Masonry –repair/reset stone-slab steps, 7) Masonry - prepare and
install paver landings, 8) Design and lay out water retention basins

 

All building materials will be provided by hosts.

Juice and snacks will be supplied. Bring your own
and/or pot-luck offering for lunch. Other items you may wish to bring:
tools, wheel barrow, notebook, pen, boots, hat, sunscreen, gloves,
lunch, eating utensils, water bottle.

Dogs welcome, but please call first.

Children welcome to attend as long as parents/guardians are responsible for their safety and constructive participation.

Limited to 20 people. May be canceled if fewer
than 7 sign up. Please help us plan by registering to attend. Registrants will receive a map and further
information before the event.
