Understory continues to offer Spanish Classes this fall, Sept - Dec. in Minneapolis.
Beginner and Intermediate classes are offered, with a focus on practical Spanish for doing things in a sustainable world: building, growing food, cooking, interacting with neighbors, and more.
Classes will be divided between core grammar/capacity building, and expanding vocabulary. Fun will be had.
"Understory Theatre produces smart, funny, informative, fast-paced
shows that entertain while pushing the audience to engage. Nowhere else
has a talking ear of corn given me so much insight!"
Not a Kernel to Eat is the story of Paco, a Mexican farmer, as he loves and loses his corn. Through battles with herbicide, water use, and temptations to buy a new HDTV with windfall GMO corn profits, our hero seeks for redemption and seeds he can trust.
Available for the Summer/Fall 2008. Contact us for details and booking information.
Understory is proud to partner with PRI - Cold Climate as the Upper Midwest's permaculture organization moves toward nonprofit status. A growing organization with a variety of educational programs and events.

FEATURED BOOK: FIELD GLOSSARY / GLOSARIO DE CAMPO
160-page pocket dictionary & reference
Understory offers supporters the opportunity to directly support our work in Latin America by sponsoring copies of the Field Glossary to be delivered to sustainable agriculture practitioners South of the Rio Grande, who otherwise wouldn't be able to access this Language-learning tool. It's a chance to efficiently distribute a valuable educational resource to some needy folks, supporting the work of Understory in the process. For a limited time, $9.00 per copy will get these books distributed.
